A derailment on the Shasta Route has sent the Coast Starlight on a detour via Keddie. A dogcatch crew has driven to Bieber to take the train on to Klamath Falls and Portland.
BN's south end train is ready to depart Bieber for Klamath Falls. The UP units that brought the train north are parked, awaiting crew's rest to return to Stockton.
Prior to departing for Klamath Falls, the crew of BN 672 switches out the lumber mill at Bieber, California.
I didn't find any railroad in Bieber let alone any people. About 2 miles west of Bieber is a town called Nubieber and thats where the railroad is. Not the most exciting railfan destination.
